Horrocks spectacular in 3-2 Admirals loss to 73's

Bennett Horrocks put on a goaltender clinic Saturday night in Amherstburg kicking out 70-of-73 shots including 34 alone in the third period as the Essex 73's narrowly defeated the Admirals 3-2 to move to 5-1 on the season.

The Admirals drop to 2-4.

Horrocks started the season in Essex last season and was traded to the Admirals after just a couple games. Without the effort by Horrocks this score could have been much worse.

Former Admiral Brett Jones had his first goal with the 73's and Adrian Bosev and Noah Mathieson had the other goals. Mathieson's came in the third period with the game tied 2-2 while the 73's were on a two-man advantage.

Essex will return home Tuesday night and face the Walpole Island Wild.
