Daniel Cinelli watched from the sidelines patiently the first couple games of the season, but he got his moment Thursday night and stopped all 15 shots to earn his first ever junior win - a 3-0 shutout over the Walpole Island Wild, Thursday night in Walpole.

Cinelli, 17 years old and from Oldcastle, played last season with Bio Steel Academy and is a product of the Sun County Panthers program.

Fellow rookie Justin Shaw (Riverside) led the 73's offensively with a pair of goals and Noah Mathieson and Adrian Bosev each scored another.

Essex fired 52 shots at the Walpole cage.
