73's Add Jeff Brett to Team Staff

The Essex 73s are excited to announce Jeff Brett will be joining the staff in a scout/advisory role.


Jeff is an alumni and played with the 73's from 1984-85 to 1985-86 and again from 1987-88 to 1988-1989. He brings a wealth of experience to the staff with his background as a player and a coach.


Welcome back Jeff!


ABOUT JEFF

- He has lived in Essex his entire life.


- His nickname is Nines. Although the origin of the nickname is unknown, it is believed it is for his fondness of the Great One, Wayne Gretzky.


- Jeff played briefly with the 73’s as a 16 year old in 1984-85, scoring 2 goals and 5 points in 7 games.


- He scored 26 goals and 51 points and led the 73’s in scoring in 1985-86, helping them to the OHA semi-finals.


- He played with the Windsor Bulldogs Jr. B in 1986-87.


- Jeff returned to the 73’s in 1987-88 and would play his next two seasons there.


- In his career with Essex, Jeff accumulated 71 goals (tied at 22 with Tyler Scott), and 149 points (33rd all-time).


Jeff’s uncle Bob Brett played with the 73’s and won 2 Schmalz Cups in 1975 and 1977. His brother Marc also played for the 73’s.




Jeff brings a wealth of experience to the staff with his background as a player and a coach. Welcome back Jeff!

The Essex 73's would like to welcome back Dallas Anderson to the team. Dallas played last season in Chatham junior B where he had a great season, scoring 8 goals and 24 points in just 33 games played.
