The Essex 73’s have competed in the Great Lakes Junior C Hockey League since 1973. In total, the club has won 15 Great Lakes Junior C League Championships and 6
All-Ontario Junior C titles. Their 6 Schmalz Cup wins and 11 All-Ontario final appearances are both Ontario Junior C records. By all measures, they are the most successful Junior C team in
Ontario.
The 2011-2012 season is their 39th season.
